Breaking the Silence: Understanding Youth in Crisis

One of the first steps is to create an advocacy program with peer support and para-professionals to help parents and families navigate child welfare and to receive the support they need. 30% of children are removed from their parents due to substance abuse which is epidemic in the USA. These children can often be placed with relatives if there is proper support in place while parents are rehabilitated. The next goal is to collect data on the precursor events that put families in the vulnerable position that CPS intervention is necessary. 85% of children removed are because of neglect but we do not know what qualifies as neglect. Become an advocate

Stand up and be a voice for families and children. We need advocates in every state who can build a relationship with the Child’s Administration to help reunite children who reach out to us. It is very important because these families need our help.

Connie Reguli wants to impact the child welfare system in the USA and reduce the number of children in foster care by re-writing the entirety of Title IVE. This 1974 legislation presents an internal, incompatible, and irreconcilable conflict of interest which creates perverse incentive to state agency’s to remove children from their homes and deny relative placements.
