My story is very similar to Paris Hilton because I got involved in the system when my children were out of control teenagers. I placed them in a group home because I was having neck surgery and couldn’t take care of them. It was the worst time of my life because they made my life hell, they alienated my children, medicated them and labeled them mentally retarded. I was very fortunate that I placed them in the group home therefore, when I saw the abuse they were experiencing I was able to remove them. I can’t even imagine being a parent like Kim knowing my child is running away and suffering and there is nothing that she could do to help her. This is why I wanted to get this website to help children like Starr reconnect to their families because there is no way that a child is better off in the system then with a family member.
